The Jacksboro Animal Shelter was destroyed on Monday by a tornado that hit the city in north Texas. It was one of a reported 10 tornadoes that ripped through the area in a line of storms. With animals stuck inside, volunteers evacuated all the animals at the shelter following the tornado, which also ripped the roofs off two schools. Images show the shelter with the roof destroyed and fencing flung across the floor by the tornado....

The hole, which measures around three feet across, is located on a construction site near the home of the dog’s owner. On Tuesday evening, the 13-year-old canine named Cesar wandered into the construction site after finding a gap in the fencing around it, local news station KABC reported. “He’s an old dog. But he’s still very curious and adventurous,” Cesar’s owner, Mary told KABC. Cesar’s owner said she first noticed something was wrong when she heard her other dog barking....

The body of Kenneth Brian Colbert, 47, from Evansville, was located under a bridge on Friday, January 20, by Indiana State Police (ISD) detective Toni Walden who carried out a search along Old U.S. 41 south of CR 150 South. During the search, Walden located Colbert’s maroon 2017 Toyota Avalon under a bridge, and a man matching his description was found inside the vehicle. Sgt Todd Ringle, of the ISD’s Evansville District, said in a Saturday, January 21, Facebook post: “Indiana State Police believe that sometime during the evening on December 9th, Colbert was traveling south on Old US 41 south of CR 150 South when he drove left of center, left the roadway on the east side, dropped down into the deep ravine, overturned and entered Pigeon Creek near the bridge....
