The Virginia Tech product has never thrown a touchdown in a regular-season NFL game. He’s a shifty runner who’s worth as an NFL quarterback remains unknown. Taylor’s 2,724 passing yards and 24 touchdowns (403 rushing yards, five touchdowns) in 2010 earned him ACC Player of the Year honors.
Buffalo on Tuesday traded a 2015 fifth-round draft pick and a 2016 seventh rounder to Minnesota in exchange for Cassel and a 2015 sixth rounder. As of now, there’s no telling which quarterback Ryan will start come September.
