Chavez, 32, became a full-time starter for the Athletics in 2014. He has a 15-23 record since that time and has a career ERA of 4.55. His best season came in 2014 when he went 8-8 with a 3.45 ERA.

Hendriks, 26, sported a 2.92 ERA with a 71/11 K/BB ratio over 64 2/3 innings out of the bullpen for the Blue Jays last season. He had an ERA above 5.00 in his previous four seasons.
