Tulowitzki left Saturday’s doubleheader against the Yankees early in the opening game after colliding with center fieder Kevin Pillar. New York shortstop Didi Gregorius hit a shallow pop fly to center field. Tulowitzki backed up to make the catch, but immediately collided with Pillar. Pillar bounced off and landed on his back, while Tulowitzki paused for a second before collapsing to the ground.

After the game, Tulowitzki had X-rays on his ribs and chest, both of which came back negative.
