On June 3 Queen Elizabeth ended her decadeslong snub of Prince Charles’s paramour, Camilla Parker Bowles, reportedly greeting and exchanging pleasantries with her at a weekend barbecue at Charles’s Highgrove estate. Although the London tabs have been buzzing with speculation that the royal marriage-wrecker may now be a lady in waiting for the throne–marry her, cried the headline of The Mirror–the palace denies that the summit meeting is a sign that any formal alliance will be formed in the near or distant future.
