The best of the bunch is Saturday’s headliner, a battle between one-loss Ohio-born middleweights Adrien Broner and Shawn Porter.  The bout will be contested at a catchweight of 144 pounds.

It’s certainly an intriguing fight from a betting perspective, with neither boxer given a significant edge by oddsmakers.  Porter (25-1-1, 16 KOs) is the -130 favorite at William Hill U.S., and Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) gets +110 odds as the underdog.

Most of betting action booked at William Hill has been on Broner.  As of Thursday, 65 percent of the money wagered and 74 percent of the tickets written have been on the underdog.

The odds at The Wynn Las Vegas have shifted from an opener of Porter -145/Broner +125 to -135/+115, indicating a similar betting pattern at that sports book.

The rounds prop at The Wynn has ‘Will go 12 Full Rounds’ as the -230 favorite, with ‘Won’t Go 12 Full Rounds’ the +195 underdog.

Broner has bounced back from his loss to Marcos Maidana in December 2013 with three straight unanimous-decision victories, including against Carlos Molina in the Premier Boxing Champions telecast on NBC in March.

Porter lost in a 12-round majority decision to Kell Brock last August and in his only bout since, knocked out Erick Bone in the fifth round in March.

Meanwhile, in a fight televised on BET on Saturday night, Andre Ward is a -5000 favorite over Paul Smith, who gets 20-to-1 odds on the takeback.
