Giants defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins found out during his team’s loss to the Jets on Sunday. Marshall, after the 23-20 overtime win, told reporters why he and Jenkins found themselves in a fourth-quarter scuffle.

“I believe in trash talk and some guys get up for that, but some things are off limits. He made a comment — he said my ‘girl,’ and he didn’t know I was married,” Marshall said, via FOX Sports. “I don’t care, there’s not enough money on this earth for someone to disrespect my wife.

“He thought maybe I had four or five girls or something. But I’m happily married to one woman. I love my wife, Michi Marshall, and I will fight to the end for her.

“So there you go, baby. He’s 500 pounds and I went after him for you.”

Jenkins is listed at 305 pounds — close enough. And Marshall of course isn’t exactly lanky at 230.

Marshall said Jenkins took back the comments after learning about the receiver’s marriage, according to the report. A few minutes later, the Jet got the last laugh in the form of a touchdown to force overtime.

“(Cullen) is a good sport, man,” Marshall said, via NJ.com. “I appreciate that he apologized.”
