Marshall was hurt in the first half of Chicago’s 41-28 loss. As he went to the ground to catch a fourth-down pass from Jay Cutler, Church came from behind to defend. His knee appeared to inadvertently strike Marshall in the ribs.

Marshall was later taken from Soldier Field to the hospital in an ambulance.

Marshall tweeted later Thursday that he was OK.

“It’s a big loss,” Bears running back Matt Forte told reporters, per the Chicago Sun-Times. “Guys got to step up in his place and play but you can’t replace a guy like Brandon."

Josh Morgan took over for Marshall and was the intended receiver when Orlando Scandrick made a game-clinching interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
