Marshall, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week, wanted to break out green shoes for Thursday night's game.
According to CSN Chicago, Marshall was originally told that he will not be allowed to wear the cleats. In fact, he wouldn't just be fined. The NFL told him he would not even be allowed on the field.
UPDATE: The NFL has agreed to compromise (somewhat). They will allow Marshall to play in his green cleats, but he’ll still be on the hook for whatever fine the NFLPA chooses to penalize him with. Marshall told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio that he plans to pay that fine and match it with a donation to charity.
UPDATE: Marshall took the field on Thursday night with the bright green shoes.
