McKirahan, 25, has appeared in three games this season, all in relief. He has a 4.15 ERA in 4 1/3 innings.  

As a Rule 5 claim, McKirahan would have to been required to stay on the Braves’ 25-man roster all season or be offered back to the Cubs.
