Callaspo, who is hitting .206/.293/.252 in 38 games this season, was pulled from Tuesday night’s game at Los Angeles. Uribe, 36, is hitting .247/.287/.309 with one home run and six RBIs in 29 games. The trade is convenient to complete with the Braves and Dodgers finishing a three-game series Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
The 35-year-old Stults pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief for the Braves Tuesday to lower his ERA to 5.85. Stults is 1-5 this season in eight starts and could be inserted into L.A.’s injury-ridden rotation.
