The report says police were called to the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Va., at 6:51 a.m. by a woman who said she had been assaulted. The woman reportedly had bruises and was sent for medical treatment as Olivera was taken into custody.

The winless Braves arrived in the D.C. area Sunday night and are halfway through a four-game series against the Nationals.
Olivera, who turned 31 last week, defected from Cuba in 2014 and signed a $62.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers last year. The Braves acquired him from L.A. last July in a three-team trade with the Miami Marlins.
Olivera did not play in the Braves’ loss to the Nationals on Tuesday night.
