The Braves pitcher was hit on his left hand by a comebacker in the second inning of his start against the Dodgers.
After being evaluated by team personnel, he was forced to exit the game. The 25-year-old threw just 35 pitches before being replaced by Josh Tomlin.

The Braves announced that X-rays on Fried’s hand were negative. He is listed as day to day.
Fried has been stellar for the Braves so far this season. He entered his start Tuesday with a 4-1 record and a 2.11 ERA in 38 1/3 innings pitched.
The Braves entered Tuesday with an 18-17 record.
