Those draft decisions left many to raise questions about the security of Rodgers’ future, including former Packers great Brett Favre, who experienced a similar situation when Green Bay took Rodgers with the 24th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Favre was 35 at the time Rodgers was drafted; Rodgers is currently 36.
After Rodgers’ selection, Favre played three more years with the Packers before moving on to play for the Jets in 2008 and the Vikings in 2009 and ‘10. Now, he thinks Rodgers might take a similar path.

“I think Aaron will finish (his career) somewhere else,” Favre said Wednesday on The Rich Eisen Show. “That’s my gut.”

Favre said that he talked to Rodgers after the Packers drafted Love.
“Aaron and I get along great," Favre said. “And I did talk to him. I’m not going to talk about all that we talked about, but he was — let’s just say — surprised that they went in that direction. I’m not surprised that he reached out to Jordan, being in a similar situation himself 15 years ago. And we had a great relationship.”
Rodgers is under contract in Green Bay through 2023.
