“Took an awkward swing,” Davis said, via Fox Sports. “Knee over-rotated and got some meniscus tear, so.”
The Brewers announced Sunday morning Davis had been placed on the 15-day disabled list. Though a timetable for his return has yet to be established, Davis is expected to be sidelined for at least a month.
When asked to describe the frustrating situation for both himself and his last-place team, Davis replied, “The worst.”
Davis, 27, is batting .250/.337/.446 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 169 plate appearances.
