Brian Bowen Louisville Player Implicated In Indictment Reportedly Suspended Indefinitely

DeCOURCY: Pitino can play victim, but sad end at Louisville is largely his fault

Sources confirmed to ESPN that Bowen, who was recruited by Louisville in its 2017 class, has been suspended.

The suspension comes after the FBI alleged that Adidas helped facilitate bribes of $100,000 and $150,000 to high school players to induce them to sign with Louisville and Miami. Louisville “effectively fired” Rick Pitino earlier on Wednesday, and athletic director Tom Jurich was placed on paid administrative leave.

Assistant coaches Chuck Person (Auburn), Lamont Evans (Oklahoma State), Emanuel “Book” Richardson (Arizona) and Tony Bland (USC) were arrested along with Jim Gatto, the director of sports marketing at Adidas, and five others, the Justice Department and FBI announced Tuesday.
