A viral TikTok video shows the moment Lee Wirth, 23, tried on a white gown for her sister Jenn, who not only shares the same looks as her sibling but has exactly the same figure too.

Speaking to Newsweek, Jenn, from Phoenix, Arizona, said switching positions meant she could get a “better idea” of how she will look on her big day.

The video of the sisters, who work in social media marketing, has been watched more than 3 million times and racked up more than 265,000 likes since it was posted on November 3.

In 2021, The Knot published a survey that revealed the average cost of a wedding dress for 15,200 U.S. couples was $1,800.

Jenn told Newsweek: “Lee and I try on stuff for each other all the time but it never crossed my mind to have her try on my wedding dress, knowing that this is one of the few clothing items she wouldn’t be stealing out of my closet.”

The pair explained they never set out to wear the same clothes but sometimes turn up in identical outfits.

Jenn and Lee’s older sister suggested Lee try on wedding dresses too to give Jenn a better idea of what they would look like on her.

The video is captioned: “POV (point of view) you make your twin try on wedding dresses at your appointment so you can see how they look on you from all the angles.”

Jenn said: “I tried on about 20 dresses but I only had Lee try on the ones that I was serious about when it got down to considering alterations.

“As my future maid of honor, Lee was at every appointment with me, taking photos and videos. She kept saying ’this video isn’t doing it justice’ or ’the lighting looks different than it does in the video’ so we just decided to switch places.

“It was hard to visualize what the back would look like without all the clips and pins and so seeing it on my sister helped me get a better idea of that.

“It would help solidify my thoughts. It helped me visualize where the alterations would come in and how the train looks and how the dress looked in motion, when my sister would try it on.”

Hundreds of people have commented on the popular clip, one comment receiving more than 14,000 likes saying: “This is so smart.”

Another said: “Modern problems require modern solutions.”

Others have hailed the idea as “genius” and some twins have thanked the duo for the idea.
