Good luck with that. Sprint Cup’s Sunday race, the afternoon Food City 500, follows Saturday’s Xfinity race. Busch, who won the past four NASCAR national series races, has a solid record at Bristol.

As of midday Wednesday, 40 cars were entered for the Sprint Cup race. That means another full field. Plenty can change before Cup drivers hit the track at 11 a.m. ET Friday for their first practice. It’s the only time they will have on the track before qualifying begins at 4:15 p.m. ET.

Rain affected the race the past two years, but the weekend’s forecast mentions no precipitation. Instead, it uses the words pleasant and plenty of sunshine.

By the way, Ty Dillon returns to Tony Stewart’s No. 14 car. Brian Vickers replaced Stewart the past three races. Tests later this month might give an indication how soon Stewart can return from his broken back.

This week’s Xfinity race begins about 12:30 p.m. ET Saturday. Yeah, Busch is in the field.

Here is the entry list for this week’s Sprint Cup race at Bristol.
