Griner’s fiancée, Glory Johnson, was also arrested on the same charges. Griner and Johnson, a forward for the Tulsa Shock, were released early Thursday morning, according to reports.
Griner, a 6-8 center from Baylor who was the top overall pick in in the 2013 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury, is averaging 14.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in her first two seasons in the league.
