The team announced it as a five-year deal. ESPN initially reported the deal as being five years at an average of $10.6 million per season. Fox Sports later reported the Broncos’ liability is far less than that, with Okung guaranteed $5 million in 2016 (plus the opportunity to earn $3 million more in bonuses) and four team options to follow at $12 million per season.

Okung, who spent the first six years of his career in Seattle, has never managed to start a full season due to injuries. He also met with the Giants, Steelers and Lions, but was adamant that he remain at left tackle and it appears the Broncos promised he would.
