The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has accused Thomas of performing illegal work on his hunting property near Madison. Thomas’ charges include working on his land without permits, tearing down a barn without notifying the agency, and, yes, “discharging manure into a wetland,” according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
Thomas will meet with agency officials Jan. 6 to discuss the charges. The potential fines are stiff, up to $10,000 for each day he is in violation.
