The Nationals outfielder, booed consistently by Braves fans during Saturday night’s game, appeared to try to send a message back by scraping his cleat over the Atlanta “A’’ carved into the dirt behind the batter’s box, as if trying to scuff it. Fans responded with more boos.

But Harper denied he did anything to the “A” intentionally.
As controversies go, this one seems a little lame to be honest. In any event, Harper and the Nats had the last laugh, winning the game 4-1 in 11 innings.
