The group also headed to a dance fitness studio for Corden’s impromptu audition to become the 8th member of BTS, as well as a dance lesson led by BTS’s Jimin.
The “Carpool Karaoke” segment sees Corden ask singers “help him get to work” by accompanying him as passengers in the car while he drives to his television studio in Los Angeles. During the ride, he blasts some of the artists’ most popular songs on the car stereo to get them to sing along.
The latest episode included rambunctious singalongs to the band’s various anthemic tunes including “Mic Drop,” “On” and “Black Swan.”
The group also sang enthusiastic covers of the Bruno Mars song “Finesse (Remix)” featuring Cardi B and “Circles” by Post Malone, who the band met while performing at a New Year’s Eve concert in Times Square, New York City last December. They noted he “smokes too much” when Corden asked about their first impressions of the artist.
BTS member RM also spoke about teaching himself English by watching box sets of Friends while growing up, as well as about members Jimin and V being the most argumentative of the group. Apparently they fight mostly about dumplings.
The show concluded with Corden taking the band to a PlyoJam dance class in a bid to convince them that he’s got the dance moves to be the 8th member of BTS.
The group were put through their paces in the class, with members J-Hope and Jimin collapsing to the floor by the end of it. Jimin then led the class through some BTS dance moves from one of their latest songs.

The band’s Map of the Soul concert tour in the U.S. and Canada runs on selected dates from April to June this year.
