Bubba Watson Withdraws From Bay Hill After Death Of Childhood Friend

The Tour did not disclose the name of the friend. Watson has not yet commented.

Watson was scheduled to tee off at 8:11 a.m. ET Thursday with Brooks Koepka and Adam Scott. The two-time Masters champion will leave Orlando, the site of the tournament, to be with the family of his friend.

Watson, last year’s Masters champion, has two top three finishes this season.
