After Marcus Mariota ran to the Buckeyes’ 3 on a fake shovel pass, the Ducks faced a fourth-and-goal. With two backs in the backfield, Mariota handed off to Thomas Tyner up the middle.

The Buckeyes smashed Tyner back and held him less than a yard from the goal line. 

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich is surely trying to rack his brain for more inventive play calling considering what sunk the Ducks in the first half of their last National Championship was Chip Kelly’s insistence on running the ball right at Auburn’s Nick Fairley.
