The Sooners were 4- or 4.5-point favorites against Iowa State in the Big 12 Tournament, and Hield had the ball inside 10 seconds to play. Oklahoma led by six, 79-73. As he got pressured (and fouled, he thought), Hield took a few steps with the ball in his hands and was whistled for a travel.

Iowa State’s Deonte Burton then took the inbound with 2.8 seconds left and Oklahoma didn’t disrupt his path to the basket in any way. He launched a long three and hit it, so the Cyclones covered in a three-point loss.
