— Knicks guard Derrick Rose played his first home game since missing Monday’s contest without permission. Crowd reaction was mixed.
— New York (18-22) won despite not having Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles); they bounced back from Wednesday’s horrible loss to the 76ers by thumping Chicago (19-21) — which was without Jimmy Butler (illness) — 104-89.
Rose finished with 17 points and three assists in 34 minutes. Wade led the Bulls with 22 points.
